We would welcome you all onboard and
sail down to Urquhart Castle, where we would anchor and you would get
married onboard in the shadow of the castle. We would then take you down
the loch further for a sail before turning back or turn back and sail
(weather dependant) back to Inverness (Dochgarroch).
The trip to Urquhart Castle can take
about a couple of hours and during the summer there is a piper in one of the
lay-by's on the road down Loch Ness and we pull over and stop the engines so
the bride and groom can be serenaded from the banks of Loch Ness.
As an example, boarding at 12 noon would mean having your wedding ceremony at 2.00pm - 2.30pm, then returning to Dochgarroch to disembark by 5pm.
You can also get married onboard whilst still tied up at Dochgarroch before you go for a sail.
We can put you in touch with a local minister, personal celebrant, photographer,
registrars office, bakers, taxi/car hire, jewellers, florists, dress/kilt
hire, etc. Just let us know what you are looking for and we will do our very best to help.
Ministers and Registrars fees vary and are payable by you
Personal services can also be arranged where you can create your own ceremony, in this case fees vary and are payable by you.
